'First Aid' - aromatherapy kit

Essential Oils: Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita), Peppermint (Mentha piperita), Shield essential oil blend.

Each of the 5 essential oils in this package comes in a 10mL glass vial with a dropper top.  They are packaged in a beautiful wood box and come with an information card explaining each essential oil's uses.

Lavender
Lavender oil has a soothing and calming effect on the nerves. It relieves tension, panic, and nervous exhaustion. It can be applied to the temples to relieve headaches and deeply inhaled for respiratory conditions. Lavender oil can help relieve pain when used for muscular aches, joint pain, and strains. It is also amazing at immediately relieving burn pain and minimizing the formation of blisters. Lavender can be applied undiluted on the skin.

Tea Tree
Tea tree oil is an important addition to your home medicine cabinet due to its fast and effective healing capabilities. It is a potent anti-fungal, is an antiseptic to be used on cuts and burns, and an anti-viral that may lessen the symptoms of colds and flu. It is also beneficial for treating acne, chest congestion, and sinus issues. Tea tree oil is also an effective bathroom and household cleanser (combine 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil in 2 cups of water in a spray bottle). Dilute Tea Tree oil before applying to the skin.

German Chamomile
German Chamomile has amazingly effective anti-inflammatory action. Chamazulene, which is what makes the oil blue in color, is providence the anti-inflammatory constituent found only in steam distilled essential oils. It is next to none in treating bug bites, and is also effective in treating strains, sprains, and inflamed skin conditions. Apply straight on the abdomen to relieve menstrual cramp pain and behind the ear for ear discomfort. Chamomile is also an oil that is great for stress and tension relief.

Peppermint
Peppermint oil is a great remedy for nausea and headaches. Rub one drop of peppermint essential oil on the temples, forehead, over the sinuses (careful to avoid contact with your eyes), and on the back of the neck to relieve pressure and headache pain. It also can help relieve nausea. Massage a few drops of peppermint essential oil on the abdomen, place a drop on wrists, or inhale to soothe minor stomach discomfort. Peppermint provides effective relief from many respiratory problems including nasal congestion, sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis and the common cold and cough.

Shield
This essential blend is based on the original blend used by thieves who pillaged graves during the Bubonic Plague, yet avoided the plague themselves. This blend is a potent anti-viral, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal. It is excellent at promoting healthy immune function and at clearing respiratory ailments. It is best used in a diffuser or applied on the bottom of the feet. It can also be added to water for an effective and great smelling cleaner. Most people dilute this oil before applying to the skin.

 

Important Notes: Always discuss essential oil use with your physician. Always dilute essential providence oils when using with children. Allergies to essential oils occur, so it is a good idea to test for sensitivities before using essential oils. To test, apply a very small amount to the skin and look for redness or swelling on the skin. Discontinue the use of essential oils immediately if you experience any unexpected side effects.
